In addition, the soil debris forms a sinkhole or well which in Javanese is known as a luweng.

2. Has 4 paths that can be passed.


To descend this cave, there are 4 paths that can be used with different depths. There are 15 m, 40 m, 60 m, and 80 m. If you are a beginner, it is better to use the 15 m path. This path can be passed on foot, although the road conditions are quite steep. Later, you will also be given training on how to safely descend the cave. Then to pass deeper paths such as 40 m - 80 m, it is necessary to use SRT (Single Rope Technique) equipment. Of course, there are skilled guides there so you can descend safely.

3. Here you can see the view of the 'light of heaven'.






When you reach the bottom of the cave, by passing through a 300 m long passage, you can find a sight called the 'light of heaven'. Sunlight will enter the cave through the cracks of the cave and illuminate the flowstone. The contrasting view of the sunlight colliding with the darkness of the cave, can make you chuckle in awe. To see the sights, you need the right time, which is around 10:00 to 12:00, and with a record that the weather is sunny.

It is said that this cave was used as a location for mass killings of PKI members. According to the story, they were lined up at the mouth of the cave with their hands tied to each other. Then when one is shot down into the cave, the other will fall too. The story had made people afraid to visit, moreover there were haunted stories that spread in the cave. But in the 1990s, the local community held a prayer together at that place. Since then, there have been no more scary stories, such as the incident of a cave explorer who was lost in the Jomblang Cave.

6. It was used as a shooting location.
